It is fair to conclude that the first edition of International Conference on Diabetes and its Complications (ICDC 2017) was a great success! The conference was marked with the attendance of young and brilliant researchers, business delegates and talented student communities representing more than 30 countries, who have driven the event into the path of success.

Following the success of ICDC-2017, United Scientific Group is glad to announce the ICDC 2018 which would offer contributors a platform to explore various aspects of Diabetes research.

The program of ICDC-2018 will feature an exciting series of keynote talks, plenary lectures, and workshops by world leading experts in the field. The meeting will comprehensively cover the state-of-the-art methodologies and technologies for diabetic research and therapeutics. The audience and speakers at ICDC-2018 will be from different backgrounds and nations to foster cross-pollination between different research fields and to expose and discuss innovative theories, frameworks, and applications.

ICDC 2018 will showcase the latest developments in new insulin analogs and delivery systems, insulin pumps, glucose sensors, closed-loop systems, devices for diabetic prevention, artificial pancreas and new technologies for treating obesity and much more.

ICDC 2018 will see San-Francisco as the host city, presenting an opportunity for the world to visit silicon city of United States with a unique combination of magnificent architecture, beautiful scenery and the most pleasant and mildest temperate climate.

Sayon Roy
Boston University, MA

Dr. Sayon Roy is a Professor of Medicine and Ophthalmology in Department Ophthalmology, Boston University. He completed his B.S. and M.S. from the University of Kalyani, India. He received his Ph.D. from Boston University. Dr. Roy’s seminal work has identified several genes in the retina that are abnormally expressed in diabetic retinopathy. His pioneering work has led to novel gene modulatory techniques in retinal vascular cells using antisense oligonucleotides via intravitreal injection. Dr. Roy has received numerous awards including the American Diabetes Association Research Award for the commitment and dedication towards the fight against diabetes, the 2006 Mentor of the Year Award from Boston University, and the 2008 Innovative Award from the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
